The Carnival in Livigno will begin Thursday 19th at 9pm at the Campo Scuola of the Centrale Ski School. Like every year the race sees the participants use the vintage equipment wear the typical costumes of Livigno. This night race is divided into three different disciplines: Luge, Alpine Ski and Nordic Ski.The race is for the Trofeo delle Contrade 2009, a competition open to all residents. The formations are eight: Forcola, Teola, Saroch, Plan by Sora, Center, Ostaria, Comunin Pemont and Trepal.

On February 21th in Livigno will take place the traditional parade with fun, fantasy and many moments of aggregation.
A parade of floats prepared by the members of the various districts of Livigno followed by a procession in disguise. With the typical Palo della Cuccagna, animation and cute games.

In Livigno the week of Carnival ends February 24th, with a parade starting at 02:00pm to be held in the hamlet of Trepalle with Masks and allegorical cars parade in the streets.
The fest will end with the prize winner of Carnival and the award of the Trofeo 2009.
